Raipur: On Monday , May 11, 2026 organised the first camp of the ‘Good Governance Festival’ (Sushasan Tihar) within the Raipur Municipal Corporation area at Sindhu Bhawan, near BTI Ground, under Municipal Zone-3.
Applications were received from residents of Wards No. 12, 29, 30, 31, 33, and 48. During the program, immediate redressal was provided for 03 applications in the Town Planning Department, 05 in the Health Department, 03 in the Electricity Department, 05 ration card-related issues by the Food Department, 02 in the Police Department, and 01 in the Transport Department.
Mayor Meenal Choubey stated that the ‘Good Governance Festival’ is being organised under the guidance of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai. The initiative aims to resolve issues pertaining to various departments on a single platform.
She added that, acting on the directives of the State Government, these ‘Good Governance Festival’ camps are being organized to resolve demands and complaints that cannot be addressed solely through the Raipur Municipal Corporation.
All complaints received at these camps will be resolved expeditiously within the next month, in accordance with the State Government’s instructions. The Mayor directed the Zone-3 Commissioner and other zonal officials to take action regarding complaints concerning illegal encroachments within the zone area.
She also noted that numerous complaints regarding water scarcity are being received during the summer season; these issues are expected to be resolved soon with the commencement of construction work on the Khamhardih water tank project for the Zone-3 area.
Raipur North MLA Purandar Mishra stated that the State Government’s objective is to ensure that the benefits of all welfare schemes reach the common citizens and that their grievances are effectively resolved. To this end, these public grievance redressal camps are being organised.
He urged all citizens attending the camp today to avail themselves of the various services and benefits available, such as those related to Ayushman Cards, Ration Cards, Driving Licenses, Labor Cards, etc.
During the ‘Sushasan Tihar’ (Good Governance Festival), building permission letters for house construction were issued to 13 eligible beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, and ration cards were instantly prepared and handed over to five citizens.
Acting on the directives of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, the ‘Sushasan Tihar’ aims to address the grievances and demands of the general public by listening to them and ensuring their prompt resolution. Collector Dr. Gaurav Singh stated that, in accordance with Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai’s instructions, public grievance redressal camps are being organized under the ‘Sushasan Tihar’ initiative to facilitate citizens.
He further mentioned that the district administration has been implementing ‘Project Dhadkan’—a health initiative focused on children—across the district for the past eight months. Instructions have been issued to resolve any issues that cannot be addressed immediately within a timeframe of one month.
Dr. Singh added that the district administration has established a call center and a permanent ‘Jan Darshan’ (public audience) mechanism to resolve the problems faced by the general public, through which citizens can reach out to seek solutions to their grievances.
The Collector explained that ‘Project Dhadkan’ involves screening children; those suspected of having cardiac ailments are referred to the Satya Sai Hospital, where children diagnosed with heart-related conditions receive free medical treatment.
Municipal Commissioner Sambit Mishra addressed the gathering, stating that—in compliance with the State Government’s directives—public grievance redressal camps are being organized under the ‘Sushasan Tihar 2026’ initiative to enable citizens to apprise the administration of their demands and complaints.
Present on this occasion were SDM Nandkumar Chaubey, Municipal Additional Commissioner Vinod Pandey, along with other public representatives and officials.
