On 11th August, the entire Durg district turned saffron with the cheers of thousands of Kanwariyas. From 6 am onwards have left for Durg after taking water from Kharoon river. After walking 33 kilometers, they will reach the banks of Shivnath river in Durg at about 6 pm.

After this, they will reach the Shiva temple here and offer water to Baba. Upkar Chandrakar, patron of Shivnath Kanwar Yatra Samiti, said that this Kanwar Yatra is taken out every year by Shivnath Kanwar Yatra Samiti. Like every year, this time also, on August 11, Sunday, at about 6 am, thousands of Kanwariyas reached Kharoon river Kumhari. From here they took water in the Kanwar. After taking water, the procession of devotees has left for Durg.

Kanwar Yatra started from Kumhari Kharoon river and reached Khursipar Indoor Stadium at about 12.30 pm via Bhilai 3. It is expected to reach Bhilai by 2.00 pm. A large number of Kanwariyas are participating in the Kanwar Yatra.

All of them are walking while dancing and singing to the tune of DJ and chanting Bhole Baba’s praises. Many prominent BJP leaders are also accompanying the procession .
