Leaders Review Bilateral Partnership

In an interview with Russian news agency TASS published on Saturday, Kumar said Modi and Putin discussed the full range of bilateral relations on the sidelines of the BRICS summit held in New Delhi on September 12–13.

The ambassador said the leaders instructed the relevant ministries and agencies to take cooperation forward, including in trade and commerce.

Trade and Investment Goals

Alongside the trade target, the two countries are pursuing two-way investment of $50 billion by 2030, Kumar said.

He also highlighted the leaders’ participation in the BRICS business summit and their visit to the Innoprom-India exhibition in New Delhi as examples of economic engagement.
