Despite both teams’ attacking capabilities, the opening quarter remained goalless. Neither side created many clear opportunities, and no penalty corners were awarded during the first 15 minutes.
Chakradhar broke the deadlock in the second quarter when Walmiki worked his way past Mainpat’s defenders and beat goalkeeper Alfaz Khan.
The lead lasted only four minutes. Sandeep converted a penalty corner to bring the Titans level and prevent Chakradhar from taking control of the contest.
Sahil’s Deflection Puts Mainpat Ahead

Mainpat produced a crucial breakthrough before the final quarter through an aerial pass from defender Anand Lakra.
Lakra lifted the ball from his own half towards the opposition goalmouth. With the ball dropping in front of goalkeeper Vaibhav Singh Chandel, Sahil Zaksa intervened to deflect it into the net, giving Mainpat a 2–1 advantage.
The move caught Chakradhar’s defence off guard and shifted the momentum towards the Titans.
Sandeep Seals the Win
Sandeep converted another penalty corner to extend Mainpat’s lead to 3–1, leaving Chakradhar with a difficult route back into the match.
The Titans also restricted experienced midfielder Sunil’s influence, denying him space to supply the forwards. Whenever he approached the attacking circle, Mainpat’s defenders closed him down quickly, disrupting Chakradhar’s attempts to build sustained pressure.
The combination of effective penalty-corner execution and organised defending secured the Titans’ win and lifted them to second place in the standings.
Jaskaran Scores Five as Bulls and Strikers Draw
Earlier in the day, Bailadila Bulls and Sanskar Dhani Strikers shared the points after a 5–5 draw.
Jaskaran Singh scored every goal for the Bulls, delivering an outstanding individual performance. However, his five-goal effort could not secure their first victory of the competition.
The Strikers also remain without a win after the closely contested encounter.
MLA Dharamlal Kaushik, Sarda Head of Operations Manoj Shah and Chhattisgarh Judo Association President Arun Dwivedi attended the opening match.
