The newly appointed employees will serve in 14 districts of Chhattisgarh. The appointments are expected to strengthen healthcare staffing, particularly in tribal and remote areas where access to timely treatment remains an important concern.

Congratulating the recruits and wishing them success, the Chief Minister said an opportunity to work in the health department carries a responsibility towards patients and their families.
He said every person who comes to a hospital, along with their family, looks towards healthcare workers with hope and trust. For that reason, he said, sensitive behaviour and a spirit of service are as important as the performance of official duties.
Sai’s remarks below are presented in English as translated from the Hindi release. Red highlighting may depend on the publishing platform.
“Do not regard your duty merely as a job. Consider the service of patients a noble act of public service and carry out your responsibilities with honesty, commitment and dedication.”
The Chief Minister said attentive service and good conduct could strengthen the confidence of patients and their families in the healthcare system.
“A healthy Chhattisgarh is the strong foundation of a developed Chhattisgarh. When our citizens are healthy, they can contribute fully to the progress of their families, society and the state.”
Healthcare workers to serve in 14 districts
The 520 appointments cover six categories of health personnel:
| Post | Number appointed |
|---|---|
| Staff nurses | 208 |
| Male rural health coordinators | 95 |
| Female rural health coordinators | 94 |
| Pharmacists | 25 |
| Ward boys | 50 |
| Ward ayas | 48 |
| Total | 520 |
The government said the additional personnel would improve the availability of staff required to operate health services in the districts concerned and help provide better care to patients.
Sai noted that most of the 14 districts where the recruits will serve are predominantly tribal, making their responsibilities particularly significant.
Focus on tribal and remote areas
The Chief Minister said continued expansion of health facilities in regions such as Bastar and Surguja was bringing positive changes. He emphasised that geographical distance should not prevent citizens from receiving good treatment.
“Health workers serving in remote and tribal areas are an important link between the government and the people. Work carried out with sensitivity and a spirit of service can make a meaningful difference to many families.”
He encouraged the newly appointed employees to earn the trust of the communities they serve and contribute actively to improving healthcare wherever they are posted.
Expansion of facilities and workforce
Sai said good health is essential for people to progress in life and fulfil their potential. The government, he said, was working to strengthen both healthcare infrastructure and the availability of trained personnel.
The Chief Minister referred to the expansion of health facilities during the 25 years since Chhattisgarh’s formation. He said the government was continuing work on new medical colleges, modern facilities in hospitals, the availability of equipment and resources, and a stronger healthcare workforce.
The objective, he said, was to develop a system in which every citizen can obtain accessible, quality treatment when needed.
