Raipur: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai has extended warm greetings to the people of Chhattisgarh on the occasion of State Foundation Day on November 1, calling upon citizens to work together towards building a prosperous, strong and developed state by 2047.
In his message issued on October 31, Sai described the completion of 26 years of Chhattisgarh’s statehood as an occasion of collective pride and an opportunity to renew the commitment to inclusive development.
“The completion of 26 years of Chhattisgarh’s formation is a moment of pride for all of us,” the Chief Minister said.
Tribute to Vajpayee’s vision
Remembering former Prime Minister and Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Sai credited his foresight and determination with fulfilling the aspiration for a separate Chhattisgarh.
He said the creation of the state had given a new identity to the hopes and aspirations of its people and opened fresh avenues for development.
“The dream of Chhattisgarh became a reality through the visionary leadership and firm resolve of revered Atal Bihari Vajpayee,” Sai said.
The Chief Minister reaffirmed that his government was working consistently to realise Vajpayee’s vision of a prosperous and developed Chhattisgarh.
Peace and public confidence central to progress
Describing this year’s Rajyotsav as historic, Sai said the state was moving towards a new era of peace, confidence and development. He characterised it as the first Rajyotsav being celebrated with Chhattisgarh freed from what he termed “red terror”.
He attributed the achievement to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah’s determination, and sustained efforts by the Union and state governments.
Sai also paid tribute to security personnel, acknowledging their courage, service and sacrifices in the fight against Maoist violence.
“Our brave personnel have made an unforgettable contribution through their courage, valour and sacrifice. The state will always remember them with gratitude,” he said.
His message placed the restoration of peace alongside the responsibility to expand development opportunities and strengthen confidence among communities.
Prosperity in every village, opportunities for every young person
The Chief Minister said the government’s commitment was to bring prosperity to every village, provide better opportunities for young people and ensure that development reached the last person in society.
“Our resolve is to bring prosperity to every village of Chhattisgarh, provide every young person with better opportunities to advance, and ensure that the benefits of development reach the last person in society,” Sai said.
He identified Chhattisgarh’s cultural heritage, natural resources and the capabilities of its people as important strengths supporting the state’s progress.
These strengths, he said, were helping Chhattisgarh move towards new heights of development.
A shared resolve for 2047
Sai urged citizens to regard State Foundation Day as both a celebration of achievements and an occasion to set fresh goals for the future.
He appealed for active public participation in achieving the state’s long-term development aspirations.
“Let us together resolve to build a prosperous, strong and developed Chhattisgarh by 2047 and actively contribute to making this vision a reality,” the Chief Minister said.
