The discussions examined how educators could use AI to prepare digital learning materials, support research and encourage critical thinking and creativity. Speakers also considered how institutions could uphold academic integrity and protect personal data as AI tools become more common in teaching and research.

Education must develop empathy, ethical judgement and discernment alongside technical knowledge, Dr Gurpreet Kaur said. She described AI as a tool that can strengthen teachers’ ability to teach.

AI can encourage innovation and improve the quality of learning when teachers and researchers understand the technology and use it responsibly, Dr Rakhi Sharma said.

Rekha Tiwari said technological proficiency and human values should develop together as schools adapt to changes in how students learn.

Research, Classroom Practice and Academic Integrity

The speakers included Abhijat Mishra, Executive Vice President of PowerVolt Group, and Dr Divya Sharma, Chairperson of Veetraga Research Foundation, Raipur. Dr Abha Dubey, Dean of the Faculty of Education at Columbia Professional University, Raipur, and Dr Arun Kumar Dubey, the university’s IQAC Director, also spoke. The sessions brought together two practical questions for educators: where AI can improve the way students learn, and how to use it while safeguarding academic integrity and privacy.

Kiran Sontiya delivered the vote of thanks, acknowledging the speakers, guests, researchers, students and members of the organising team.
