Saudi Arabia’s Energy Ministry reported limited damage and no casualties. The Saudi-led coalition said it intercepted missiles headed towards the capital and other parts of the kingdom.

Riyadh: Falling debris damaged a Saudi Aramco administrative building in Riyadh on Sunday, 8 November 2026, after what Saudi Arabia’s Energy Ministry described as an attempted attack. The ministry said the building sustained limited damage and that no injuries or deaths were reported.

The building is in the King Abdullah Financial District. A Reuters witness reported seeing shattered windows across several floors of Aramco Tower. Saudi Civil Defence had issued an early warning of a potential threat, and loud booms were heard in the capital shortly afterwards. Authorities later said the danger had passed.

The Saudi-led coalition said air defences intercepted ballistic and cruise missiles targeting Riyadh and other parts of the kingdom. It accused Yemen’s Houthis of firing the ballistic missiles. There was no immediate claim of responsibility from the Houthis, and Aramco did not immediately comment.
