New Delhi: BJP has said in the organisational election review that all the states should complete the process of state level elections by the first week of December, in which there is also discussion on bringing new leadership from South India in view of the social and political equations. Apart from this, the party can once again bring the upper caste community to the fore, which can bring back the upper castes to maintain the social balance in the party.
After the Maharashtra and Jharkhand assembly elections, the BJP will speed up the organisational election programme. Booth, Mandal, District and State organisational elections will be completed by the first week of December. According to the BJP constitution, the national president can be elected after elections in half the states. Thus, the way will be open for the party to elect a new president after elections in 50 percent of the states.
According to sources, Kharmas will be from mid-December to mid-January, so there will be no good work, so even the national president will not work during this time. Delhi assembly elections will be held in January, so BJP will get very little time to work on the new organization, which can affect the election campaign. In such a situation, as soon as the results of Maharashtra and Jharkhand are out, the party will speed up the organization elections, so that the newly established organization can work by the end of the first fortnight of December. According to sources, the expansion of the organization is important as BJP is in power at the Centre.
Possibility of leadership from South India
This time BJP can hand over the leadership to a leader from South India. During the tenure of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, South Indian leaders like Bangaru Laxman, Jana Krishnamurthy and Venkaiah Naidu became presidents. Sangh sources believe that at this time it would be better for BJP to bring forward a leader from South India to expand in the country. The party can choose a president from the upper caste community to maintain social balance and to keep its supporters together.
Names being discussed
Names like Manohar Lal Khattar, Devendra Fadnavis, Shivraj Singh Chauhan, Dharmendra Pradhan, G. Kishan Reddy, Narendra Singh Tomar are being discussed for the post of president.
