Raipur City ( South) by-election: Congress took out a nomination rally with pomp and show for Raipur South assembly by-election, while Akash Sharma filed his nomination. Congress showed its strength in the name of Sharma’s nomination rally. Due to which the road was blocked for hours, besides hundreds of security forces were deployed.
Many senior leaders including former CM Bhupesh Baghel, Congress President Deepak Baij, Leader of Opposition Dr. Charandas Mahant and a large number of Congressmen participated in the rally. Before the nomination rally, a meeting was held at Gandhi Maidan.
During the rally, former CM Bhupesh Baghel said that this rally shows that people in the Raipur City (South ) looking for a change , young leaders will win with record votes. For the South by-election, Congress has fielded young leader Akash Sharma, who arrived today with thousands of workers and senior leaders with pomp and show to file his nomination, during which a lot of enthusiasm was seen among the young workers.
It was cleared from the crowd gathered in the rally that Akash Sharma has the ability to give a tough fight to Sunil Soni.
Sharma said that Sunil Soni has not done any work for the public, he was not given Lok Sabha ticket because of his inactivity. We are going to the public with failures of the government, we are getting full support from the public, our victory is certain.
Thousands of Congress workers and leaders including former Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, PCC Chief Deepak Baij, Leader of Opposition Dr. Charan Das Mahant participated in the Sharma’s nomination rally. During rally , Bhupesh Baghel said that Akash Sharma is a young leader. He has worked for welfare of students and young generation. He is a go-getter , which makes him a winnable candidate in the Raipur City (South ) bypoll .
PCC Chief Deepak Baij said that a huge crowd has gathered in Akash Sharma’s nomination rally, BJP is scared of this by-election. Due to which they are endlessly giving baseless statements, Congress is definitely going to win, BJP’s record is going to be broken after 34 years, Baij said .
