
Raipur: President Draupadi Murmu was very impressed with the lifestyle, food habits, folk dances, folk music, folk instruments, arts, customs, festivals, beliefs and other primitive traditions of the tribal communities of Chhattisgarh. A group photograph was taken with the tribals dressed in the traditional attire of Chhattisgarh.

On the occasion, Governor Ramen Deka, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, Deputy Chief Minister Arun Saw, Union Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development Tokhan Sahu, Agriculture Minister Ram Vichar Netam, Labor Minister Lakhanlal Dewangan, Food Minister Dayal Das Baghel, Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal, Women and Child Development Minister Laxmi Rajwade, Revenue Minister Tank Ram Verma, Raipur Lok Sabha MP Brijmohan Agarwal, MLA Khuswant Saheb and Rohit Sahu were present.
President Draupadi Murmu was overwhelmed to find people from tribal communities of Chhattisgarh among her. In the glorious “Purkhauti Muktangan” of Chhattisgarh, the Honorable President of India Draupadi Murmu got photographed with the dance troupes of Surguja, Bastar and Dantewada districts of Chhattisgarh to enhance the pride and self-respect of the tribal society of Chhattisgarh and honor them. The men and women involved in the dance troupes from Surguja, Bastar and Dantewada districts were dressed in traditional attire.
Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain, Director General of Police Ashok Juneja, Principal Secretary Tribal Welfare Department Sonamni Bora and Principal Secretary Culture Anbalgan P. Secretary to the Chief Minister P. Dayanand, Commissioner Tribal Development Narendra Dugga, Director Archeology and Culture Vivek Acharya were also present on the occasion.
