Agra: Anti Narcotics Task Force conducted a raid in Agra district of Uttar Pradesh. During this, it was revealed that fake medicines worth crores are being sold in the market. During the raid, fake medicines worth about 8 crores were recovered. It is being told that the task force raided a medicine factory. This factory belonged to mafia Vijay Goyal, who was arrested recently in the case of making fake medicines.
According to the information received, Vijay Goyal was released on bail after spending 8 months in jail. After which he again started the business of fake medicines on a large scale. The Narcotics Task Force tracked Vijay and then raided his factory. Goods worth Rs 8 crore were recovered from there.
This factory was being operated secretly in Mohammadpur area of Industrial Area, 4 km away from Sikandra police station. All roads are connected to the factory, so there was no problem in loading-unloading of goods. It is being told that mainly expensive fake medicines for cancer, sleeping pills, diabetes, allergy and some other diseases like antibiotics were made in this factory. Fake medicines were made and sold in Madhya Pradesh, Delhi, Punjab and Rajasthan. In the last 4 months, medicines worth about 80 crores were sold in the market.
The police have registered a case under the Indian Penal Code and arrested 10 people in this case. Section 111 has also been specially imposed. At present, the anti-narcotics team is trying to find out which dealers have been supplied with the drugs. It is also being investigated where these drugs have been supplied in cities like Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Delhi and Punjab etc.
