10 Naxalites killed in the encounter in Sukma, this victory is the strength of the arms of the soldiers – Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma

Raipur: A joint team of police and security forces has achieved a major success in the anti-Naxal operation in Bhejji police station area of ​​​​Sukma district today on Friday 22, 2024 . In this encounter, 10 Naxalites have been killed and a large quantity of weapons and explosives have been recovered.

Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma has congratulated the brave soldiers for this unprecedented success.

He said that our security forces are continuously achieving success on the Naxal front by showing indomitable courage and bravery. Now Maoism has reached its final stage in Bastar region. He said that this victory is a victory of the strength of the arms of the soldiers.

Deputy Chief Minister Sharma has appealed to the misguided people to leave the path of violence and return to the mainstream of society and contribute to the development of the country and the state. He said that the government is committed to ensure a permanent solution to Naxalism through development and dialogue.

Deputy Chief Minister Sharma said that under the guidance of Home Minister Amit Shah, the fight against Naxalism is being fought strongly in Chhattisgarh. On the security front, our government has achieved great success in the anti-Naxal operation. In the last 11 months, more than 210 Naxalites have been killed, while more than 800 Naxalites have surrendered and more than 900 Naxalites have been arrested.

Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, our government is moving towards the resolution of ending Naxalism by March 2026. The Deputy Chief Minister said that the central government is committed to security and development in the state. Union Home Minister Amit Shah has assured the Chhattisgarh government of all possible cooperation against Naxalism.

Change has started in Bastar from Niyad Nellnar under the government of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai. All facilities like electricity, water, ration, hospital, school, Anganwadi are now available in those areas and the young players of those villages are showing their sports talent without fear in the Bastar Olympics. Pleasant change has also come in Bastar through sports , Dy Cm Sharma Said .
