A Confluence of Literature, Culture and Ideas on Chhattisgarh’s Soil: ‘Raipur Literature Festival–2026’ to be Held from 23 to 25 January

Raipur: To showcase Chhattisgarh’s rich literary, cultural and intellectual heritage on the national stage, the grand Raipur Literature Festival–2026 is being organised this month. The three-day literary festival will be held from January 23 to 25, 2026, at Purkhouti Muktangan, located in Nava Raipur Atal Nagar.

The festival will serve as a strong platform to connect Chhattisgarh’s cultural soul, folk traditions and literary consciousness with the younger generation. Eminent writers, poets, storytellers, thinkers, artists, journalists, theatre artists and literature enthusiasts from across the country will participate in the event.

A Confluence of Literature, Dialogue and Culture

The primary objective of Raipur Literature Festival–2026 is to preserve Chhattisgarh’s literary and cultural heritage, expand its reach, and bring together writers, readers, and creators from different Indian languages into a single platform.

During the festival, literary discussions, intellectual deliberations, interactions on contemporary issues, poetry recitation, storytelling sessions, book launches, cultural performances and art exhibitions will be organised. Free Bus Service to the Venue

Keeping public convenience in mind, free bus services will operate from various locations in Raipur city to Purkhouti Muktangan and Nava Raipur on January 23, 24 and 25, 2026. The bus service will be free on all three days, enabling students, senior citizens, literature enthusiasts, and the general public to participate in the festival without additional cost.
