Raipur: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai inaugurated a blood donation camp organised at the Chief Minister’s residence complex in the capital, Raipur, on the occasion of his 62nd birthday on Saturday February 21, 2026 .
On this occasion, he worshipped Lord Dhanvantari and honored and encouraged blood donors. On the occasion of the Chief Minister’s 62nd birthday, special arrangements were made by the Alpha Globe Foundation, Raipur, and Shivnath Blood Center for 62 people to donate blood.
Chief Minister Sai stated on this occasion that blood donation is a great donation and a true service to humanity. He said that when patients need blood during accidents, childbirth, and serious illnesses, blood donation brings new hope to the lives of patients. He added that blood donors were also provided with certificates at the camp, enabling them or their family members to receive free blood if needed, the CM added.
It is worth mentioning that the organisation has pledged to collect approximately 11,000 units of blood annually and will coordinate with various blood banks to provide free blood to those in need. A safe traffic awareness campaign was also organised on this occasion.
Chief Minister Sai appealed to the youth to donate blood at least once a year and to ensure life safety by following road traffic rules at all times. He expressed his gratitude to all the blood donors, organisers, medical team, and the Health Department and wished the camp a success.
Present on this occasion were School Education Minister Gajendra Yadav, CGMSC Chairman Deepak Mhaske, Chhattisgarh Tourism Board Chairman Neelu Sharma, Chief Minister’s Secretary Rahul Bhagat, Chief Minister’s Secretary P. Dayanand, Chief Minister’s Secretary Dr. Basavaraju S., senior officials, public representatives, Dr. Poonam Agarwal, Director of Alpha Globe Foundation, Raipur, other representatives of the organisation, and blood donors.
