Surguja: Police has arrested the accused who raped and threatened to kill the victim who was returning home after work in Surguja, Chhattisgarh. The incident is from Gandhinagar police station area.
In fact, the victim came to Gandhinagar police station on November 13 and filed a report that she was returning to her rented room after work in the evening. Meanwhile, Badal Kujur, a person living nearby, caught the victim, took her to an empty ground near the room and raped her. He also threatened to kill her if she told anyone about the incident and fled. On the victim’s report, crime number 572/24 under sections 64(1), 351(3) BNS was registered in Gandhinagar police station and investigation was taken up.
During the investigation, the police team traced the address of the accused in the case, caught and interrogated Badal Kujur. The accused told his name as Badal Kujur, age 21 years, resident of Mendrakala Khurd, current address Gorsidbara police station Gandhinagar. When the accused was questioned about the incident, he confessed to forcefully raping the victim and threatening to kill her. Since evidence of crime was found against the accused, he was arrested and sent to judicial custody.
