Raipur.: After a long time, now the way is being cleared for the widening of the narrow road between Phool Chowk-Tatyapara. When this road becomes uniformly wide, the people of the city will have a lot of convenience in movement. Because, right now there is a situation of traffic jam in that area from morning to late evening. Since the municipal elections are due after two months, it is believed that the bulldozer will come out for demolition only after December.

94 shops in the scope
The district administration team has prepared a report on the narrow scope, in which 94 shops have come under the scope of widening. It has been decided in the survey that within a radius of 500 meters, demolition will have to be done up to 8 feet or 10 feet. The process of determining compensation will be completed on the basis of paper documents of the owners of such shops.

A single businessman has four to five shops. The survey team of the Collector’s Revenue Department has listed all of them. The responsibility of assessing the compensation for demolition has been given to the PWD engineers. According to the officers, there will be a separate evaluation of the construction and the land.

The final approval of the compensation will be given on this basis.
Provision of Rs. 137 crore in the previous government
The previous Congress government had made a provision of Rs 137 crore for the widening of this area. Based on which the PWD engineers prepared an estimate of Rs. 6.5 crore for the construction, but no further work was done on it. Because, the assembly elections started. Therefore, only the ground breaking ceremony could be done. This time also the same situation is being created. Because there is municipal elections ahead. In such a situation, it is believed that the construction process can move forward only after the results are declared.

The road will become 80 feet wide According to the survey report. The middle of the road has been marked as the center point. After demolition of 8 to 10 feet on both sides, the width of the area between Phool chowk and Tatyapara chowk will also be the same as that of Jaistambh and Azad Chowk.

Dividers and electricity poles will be installed in the middle. Right now there is a web of electricity lines and wires in front of the shops. All those will be removed and the traffic movement from both sides will become equal and this road in the middle of the city will have a look la smart city. Tehsildar Pawan Kumar Kosma said that the survey report for widening has been prepared. Construction of 94 shops on both sides has been listed in the demolition area. PWD engineers will prepare the report for assessment of compensation for the construction. After this, the compensation process will begin.
