Raipur: Chhattisgarh’s young runner Animesh Kujur has set a new national record for India by completing the 100 meter race in just 10.18 seconds at the Dromia International Sprint Meet held in Athens, Greece. On his historic achievement, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai posted on the social media handle ‘X’ and congratulated him.
Chief Minister Sai said that it is a moment of great pride and happiness for all of us that Animesh Kujur of Chhattisgarh has set a new national record by completing the 100 meter race in just 10.18 seconds at the Dromia International Sprint Meet held in Greece.
Earlier, Animesh had set another national record by completing the 200 meter race in 20.32 seconds at the Asian Athletics Championship held in South Korea. Congratulating the young player Animesh, he said that this historic achievement of yours will inspire every youth to move forward. Chhattisgarh is proud of you.
The Chief Minister said that this achievement of Animesh is a symbol of the self-confidence of youth power and the flight of dreams. Kujur is just 22 years old and he broke Gurindervir Singh’s 100 meter record in the meet held in Vari, a suburb of Athens, the capital of Greece.
