At Digital Democracy Dialogue, Chief Minister calls on creators to present a new image of Chhattisgarh

Raipur: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai addressed content creators at the “Digital Democracy Dialogue” held at his residence in Raipur on late Friday April 17, 2026 evening, urging them to showcase the evolving identity of Chhattisgarh as a land of culture, faith, and nature.

He highlighted the state’s mythological significance, noting its association with Lord Rama, Mata Kaushalya, and Shabari, along with regions like Dandakaranya and Abujhmad. He also recalled the teachings of Guru Ghasidas on equality and non-violence.

The Chief Minister said the state, once affected by Naxalism, is now witnessing rapid transformation due to the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, along with the efforts of security forces. Drawing a comparison Sai said earlier a large part of the state was affected, but now the mainstream of development is reaching every village.

Highlighting tourism potential, he noted that Bastar’s natural beauty is gaining global recognition, with Dhudmaras village being listed among UNESCO’s top 20 tourist destinations. He encouraged creators to promote the region’s positive image.

Citing social media impact, he mentioned how cricketer Sachin Tendulkar sent a cricket kit to a specially abled boy Madda Ram from Bastar after his video went viral- reflecting the power of social media.

On development, Sai said the state has received investment proposals worth over Rs 8 lakh crore under its new industrial policy and is progressing toward “Chhattisgarh Vision 2047.” Welfare schemes like “Niyad Nellanar Yojana” are delivering basic services including forest rights ‘pattas’ and telecommunications to remote areas, while events like Bastar Olympics are engaging youth.
