At the age of 16, she became a victim of casting couch
Recalling that incident, Rashmi Desai said- ‘I was called for an interview. When I reached there, I saw that there was no one there except a man. I was 16 years old then. He tried to make me unconscious, but I somehow managed to get out. When I reached home, I told my mother the whole thing, she went with me to meet that man and slapped him hard to teach him a lesson. Although this incident happened to me years ago, it is still fresh in my mind.’
