Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will meet Governor (LG) VK Saxena at 4.30 pm today and submit his resignation. Along with the resignation, a letter addressed to the leader of the legislative party can also be submitted to the LG. Let us tell you that Kejriwal had announced yesterday that he will resign from the post of Chief Minister of Delhi after two days and go to the public court.

Let us inform you that after getting bail from the Supreme Court in the liquor policy case on September 13, Kejriwal had announced to leave the post of Chief Minister on September 15. He had said, ‘Now the public should decide whether I am honest or dishonest. If the public washes away the stain and wins the assembly elections, I will sit on the chair again.’

According to sources, there will be no deputy CM in the new government of Delhi. Only the name of the Chief Minister will be announced. Two names have been shortlisted, one of which is Atishi. The party intends to bring someone who knows the system and has worked. For the last two hours, Arvind Kejriwal has been consulting leaders on 2 names. Manish Sisodia has once again insisted on Atishi.

he tenure of the Kejriwal government in Delhi is going to end in February 2025. The Aam Aadmi Party under the leadership of Kejriwal has been in power in Delhi since 2013. Assembly elections were held in Delhi on 4 December 2013 for a total of 70 seats. The results came on 8 December 2013. In this, BJP emerged as the largest party with 32 seats. However, it did not get a majority. AAP got 28 seats and Congress got 8 seats. With the support of Congress, Arvind Kejriwal became the Chief Minister and formed the government. However, after 49 days the alliance of the two parties broke. Assembly elections were held again in Delhi on 7 February 2015. In this, AAP won 67 seats. BJP was reduced to just three seats. Five years later, in the assembly elections of 8 February 2020, AAP has won 62 seats out of a total of 70 seats. 8 seats went to the account of BJP.
