Karnataka : The case of trying to infect Leader of Opposition R Ashoka with HIV by involving him in a honeytrap has created a big stir in Karnataka politics. Here BJP MLA Munirathna Naidu hatched a big conspiracy against his own leader and Leader of Opposition in Karnataka Assembly R Ashoka. The whole case is related to honeytrap and conspiracy to infect political opponents with HIV. The case was revealed when the SIT arrested a police inspector Ayyanna Reddy in the case. The police inspector is close to MLA Munirathna Naidu.
The issue of spreading infection through HIV infected blood is gaining momentum in Karnataka politics. Now the Special Investigation Team (SIT) has taken a big action in this case and arrested a police inspector. The police officer was currently posted at Hebbagodi police station. The SIT team will further interrogate him and gather information on the angle of conspiracy of infected blood.

According to the report, Police Inspector Ian Reddy along with BJP MLA Munirathna Naidu hatched a big conspiracy and tried to infect the Leader of Opposition in the Assembly R. Ashok with HIV infected blood. According to reports, Ian Reddy was posted in Hebbagodi for a year. Before this, he has been posted in Peenya, Rajagopalnagar and Yashwantpur police stations. These areas fall in Munirathna’s RR Nagar Assembly constituency.

Police inspector is close to BJP MLA
Ayyanna Reddy is considered close to Munirathna Naidu. SIT took him into custody, after which his medical tests were conducted. He will be produced in court today. On the other hand, BJP MLA Munirathna Naidu has recently got bail in this case. A 40-year-old social worker had alleged that the BJP MLA raped her repeatedly and used her in a honeytrap.
Leader of Opposition R Ashoka is a seven-time MLA
Muniratna is a BJP MLA from Rajarajeshwari Nagar in Karnataka. While R Ashoka is a seven-time BJP MLA and was the Deputy CM from 2012 to 2013. He has served as a cabinet member with five chief ministers so far and has held the responsibility of various ministries like Home, Revenue, Municipal Administration, Transport and Health and Family Welfare. The BJP had chosen R Ashoka as the Leader of Opposition in November 2023.
Woman has accused Munirathna Naidu of harassment
BJP MLA Munirathna Naidu is accused of harassing a woman and using her to honeytrap his political opponents. The SIT team of Karnataka Police is investigating two cases related to this entire case. A rape case has been registered against BJP MLA Munirathna at Kaggaliapura police station in Ramnagar district. Serious allegations have been made in the case under sections 354A, 354C, 376, 506, 504, 120 (B), 149, 384, 406 and 308 of the IPC. The incident allegedly took place at a private resort under the jurisdiction of Kaggaliapura police station. An FIR has been registered against Munirathna and 6 others, including the accused like Munirathna Naidu, Vijay Kumar, Sudhakar, Kiran Kumar, Lohith Gowda, Manjunath and Loki.
The victim said that Munirathna lured her into his trap and raped her multiple times. The woman claimed that Munirathna Naidu used her to honey-trap another man, the husband of a former councillor.
