Raipur: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai virtually inaugurated eight new cyber police stations and police residential and police station buildings, constructed for Rs. 255 crore across various districts of the state, on January 28, 2026 .

The inauguration was held virtually from the Police Headquarters in Nava Raipur. On this occasion, the Chief Minister extended his congratulations to the people of the state and to police personnel for this significant initiative.

Addressing the programme, Chief Minister Sai stated that the day marked an extremely auspicious milestone for the Police Department, as development works worth Rs. 255 crore were being dedicated to the state. He stated that the presentation clearly showed that the cyber police stations, SDOP offices, police outposts, transit hostels, and residential buildings have been constructed in a modern, well-designed, and highly convenient manner.

Appreciating the agencies involved for ensuring quality construction, the Chief Minister stated that these facilities would motivate police officers and personnel to work in a “positive and supportive environment,” enabling them to discharge their duties with greater efficiency and commitment.

The Chief Minister further stated that it has been the consistent effort of the state government to provide better housing and workplace facilities to employees and officers. Such initiatives, he said, would strengthen the law-and-order system across Chhattisgarh and improve public safety. He described the inauguration as a strong beginning that would also help reinforce the security framework in the state’s remote and sensitive regions.

Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister Vijay Sharma stated that the state government is continuously working to exercise effective control over cybercrimes by establishing cyber police stations across multiple locations.

He informed that eight new cyber police stations have been inaugurated, including in Jashpur, Raigarh and Rajnandgaon districts. Before this, cyber police stations were operational in five districts of the state. As per future requirements, more cyber police stations will be established in other districts as well.

The Home Minister also stated that campuses of the Indian Reserve Forces in four districts, new police station buildings in nine districts, a Central Armed Force outpost at Mana, and several residential buildings have also been inaugurated under this initiative.

Expressing gratitude to the Chief Minister for approving and inaugurating the Rs. 255 crore worth of construction works and the eight new cyber police stations, Sharma extended his congratulations and best wishes to all stakeholders associated with the project.

Senior officials present on the occasion included Chief Secretary Vikas Sheel, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Subodh Kumar Singh, Director General of Police Arun Dev Gautam, Director General of Police Housing Corporation Pawan Dev, Additional Director Generals S.R.P. Kalluri, Pradeep Gupta, Vivekanand Sinha, Dipanshu Kabra and Amit Kumar, along with other senior officers.

It is noteworthy that today the Chief Minister also inaugurated a wide range of police infrastructure works across the state. These included the 21st India Reserve Force at Karkabhat in Balod district; police station building at Sanaud; the 20th India Reserve Force at Parsada in Mahasamund district; Karelibadi police outpost building in Dhamtari district; Central Arms Store at Raipur; transit hostel at the 4th Battalion, Mana; the 19th India Reserve Force at Karanpur in Bastar district; police station buildings at Tarrem and Naimed in Bijapur district; police station buildings at Chintagufa and Chintalnar in Sukma district; the 22nd India Reserve Force at Bheerawahi in Kanker district; police station buildings at Bharanda and Benur and a transit hostel in Narayanpur district; police station buildings at Padmanabhpur and Pulgaon in Durg district; 36 non-gazetted and 48 head constable residential quarters; SDOP office building at Dhamdha; SDOP office building at Berla in Bemetara district; SIB field unit in Rajnandgaon and transit hostel in Durg; police outpost at Kudargarh in Surajpur district; 24 non-gazetted and 144 head constable/constable residential quarters at Baikunthpur in Korea district; and a transit hostel in Balrampur.
