Bharatiya Janata Party’s state spokesperson Kedarnath Gupta has launched a scathing attack on the petty politics being done by Congress leaders on the crimes against women. Kedarnath Gupta said that Congress’s national spokesperson and media chairperson Supriya Shrinet should have investigated the misdeeds of the Congress regime in Chhattisgarh before shedding crocodile tears by holding a press conference on a sensitive issue like women’s safety in Chhattisgarh. After knowing the atrocities and misdeeds committed on women during the tenure of the Bhupesh government, Shrinet would not have made such false statements.
BJP state spokesperson Gupta, while talking to journalists during a press briefing at the BJP office in Ekatma premises on Monday September 2 , said that the entire political character of the Congress has been anti-women from the beginning. Recalling the murder cases of Naina Sahni and Jessica Lal, Gupta said that what did not happen to Congress national spokesperson Radhika Kheda, who once sat on the chair on which Congress spokesperson Shrinet is sitting today, in Chhattisgarh itself? She was locked in a room and misbehaved with and Radhika Kheda, shedding tears, pleaded to the Congress leadership from the state to the central leadership, but when no one listened to her, she was forced to resign from the Congress. Kedarnath Gupta asked Shrinet to explain why Priyanka Chaturvedi and National President of Mahila Congress Sushmita Dev left the Congress?
Kedarnath Gupta said that there is no respect for women in the Congress, nor is the self-respect of women safety . A minister in the Congress government of Bhupesh had even trampled upon the self-respect of women by terming rape cases against women as minor and ordinary incidents and the then chairperson of the Women’s Commission had even termed rape incidents as consensual relationships.
