Bhoramdev Sanctuary will become Tiger Reserve, Union Forest Minister gave instructions on the initiative of MP Brijmohan Agarwal-Photo -Arrangements
Raipur: Chhattisgarh Breaking: Giving a new direction to the wildlife conservation of Chhattisgarh, the process of declaring Bhoramdev Sanctuary as a Tiger Reserve has reached its final stage. This important decision has been taken on the initiative of Raipur MP Brijmohan Agarwal. On his demand, Union Forest and Environment Minister Bhupendra Yadav has issued necessary instructions to the Chhattisgarh government through the National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA).
MP Brijmohan Agarwal had said in a letter to the Union Forest Minister that Bhoramdev Sanctuary, which is connected to the buffer zone of Kanha Tiger Reserve, is very important from the point of view of wildlife conservation. NTCA had recommended making this area a tiger reserve on 28 July 2014. After this, Chhattisgarh State Wildlife Board also approved it.
NTCA has issued instructions to the state government through the Union Forest Minister, due to which this proposal is being finalized. As Bhoramdev Tiger Reserve, this area will become an important part of the Kanha-Achanakmar corridor, which will promote safe movement of tigers. Apart from this, this area will also play an important role in the conservation of other rare wildlife including Barasingha.
On this occasion, MP Brijmohan Agarwal said,
“Getting the status of Tiger Reserve to Bhoramdev Sanctuary will strengthen wildlife conservation. Along with this, tourism and employment opportunities will increase in this area, which will give economic benefits to the local people and will also increase the revenue of the state. ”
This decision will prove to be a historic step towards wildlife conservation, ecological balance and sustainable development of Chhattisgarh.
