Famous actor Allu Arjun has got a big relief in the Sandhya Theater stampede case. The Nampally court of Hyderabad has granted regular bail to Allu Arjun in connection with the investigation of the death of a 35-year-old woman in a stampede during the screening of Pushpa-2. The court has directed Allu Arjun to present two sureties of Rs 50,000 as part of the bail conditions
What happened in Sandhya Theater and how did Allu get trapped?
The incident happened on December4,2024 when Pushpa-2 was released. The shows of the film were scheduled from 3 am in Hyderabad. The premiere show of Pushpa-2 was held in Sandhya theatre. Fans were eager to watch the first day show of Allu Arjun’s film. There was a huge crowd of fans outside the theatre. People were dancing. They were playing drums. Many were also seen bursting firecrackers. During the screening, people went out of control when they suddenly heard that Allu Arjun was about to arrive at the screening. This is where the whole matter started. There was chaos among the people to see Allu Arjun. A woman died in the stampede to see the star.
Police arrested Allu Arjun
In this case, the police registered an FIR against Allu Arjun and arrested him. The police also interrogated Allu. However, Allu Arjun denied the allegations. At the same time, Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy said that Allu Arjun had attended the premiere despite not getting permission from the police. He claimed that the actor had refused to leave the cinema hall, due to which the police had to forcibly remove him.
Compensation of 2 crores to the victim’s family
Recently, Allu Arjun and the producers of Pushpa 2 announced a compensation of Rs 2 crore to the child’s family. Allu Arjun gave Rs 1 crore while Mythri Movies and director Sukumar gave Rs 50-50 lakhs. Film producer and Telangana Film Development Corporation Chairman Dil Raju handed over this compensation to the family.
