BJP announces three candidates for Rajya Sabha elections, including a Muslim from J & K .

The BJP has released the official list of candidates for the Jammu and Kashmir Rajya Sabha biennial elections. The BJP has nominated Ghulam Mohammad Mir, Satpal Sharma, and Rakesh Mahajan.

New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has announced the official list of candidates for the biennial Rajya Sabha elections from Jammu and Kashmir. Meanwhile, the ruling National Conference in Jammu and Kashmir announced the names of its three candidates for the Rajya Sabha elections on Friday and claimed that negotiations are underway with the Congress for the fourth seat.

The Bharatiya Janata Party’s Central Election Committee issued a press release on Sunday stating that the party has announced the names of candidates for three separate biennial elections in Jammu and Kashmir. The BJP has nominated Ghulam Mohammad Mir for one Rajya Sabha seat under Notification 01.

A BJP press release stated that Rakesh Mahajan has been nominated for one Rajya Sabha seat under Notification 2. Satpal Sharma has been approved for two Rajya Sabha seats under Notification 3. This announcement was issued by National General Secretary and Headquarters Incharge Arun Singh.

NC Announces Names of Three Candidates

Based on its strength in the Assembly, the NC has a lead in three seats, while the BJP has a lead in one seat. The NC announced its candidates for three seats, while the ruling party claimed to be in talks with the Congress for the fourth seat.

Elections are Important for J&K

These elections are considered crucial for Jammu and Kashmir politics. The BJP has expressed confidence in all three candidates to strengthen its position in the Rajya Sabha. Their victory will help the party increase its regional presence and representation in Parliament.
