Central government removes export duty from Basmati rice, import duty on edible oils increased, CM Sai expressed gratitude to PM Modi and Minister Shivraj

Raipur: Prime Minister Modi has taken a big decision for the farmers. The central government has decided to remove the minimum export duty on Basmati rice, increase the import duty on edible oils from 0% to 20%, and reduce the export duty on onion from 40% to 20%. It has also been decided to increase the basic duty for refined oil to 32.5%.

This will increase the income of the farmers of Chhattisgarh who produce soybean, basmati, onion, mustard, sunflower, and groundnut. Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai has expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Agriculture and Farmer Welfare Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on these decisions of the union government.
