CG Assembly 2024: Winter session of Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly begins, tribute paid to departed leaders

Raipur – CG Assembly 2024: The winter session of the Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly began on Monday December 16 , 2024 with tributes. Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh informed about the death of former Rajya Sabha MP Gopal Vyas and former member of the undivided Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly Nandaram Sori.

In the session, members of the ruling and opposition parties, including Deputy Chief Minister Arun Saw, Leader of Opposition Dr. Charandas Mahant and Agriculture Minister Ramvichar Netam, threw light on the lives of the deceased leaders. Both the members described their death as an irreparable loss for the state and paid heartfelt tributes.

Today, on the first day of the winter session of Chhattisgarh Vidhan Sabha, a different scenario was seen in the premises. On the occasion of the silver jubilee celebrations, Congress MLAs Kawasi Lakhma and Ramkumar Yadav danced with the troupes amidst the sound of traditional musical instruments. During this time, the atmosphere of the Vidhan Sabha premises turned completely cultural.

The winter session of the Vidhan Sabha began with paying tribute to the departed souls, the proceedings of the House were adjourned for five minutes
