The issue of fraud by micro finance companies was raised in the House, the opposition demanded a discussion by bringing an adjournment motion
Raipur : On the second day on Tuesday December17 , 2024 of the winter session of the Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly, the opposition raised an important issue, in which the question of fraud by micro finance companies was raised. The opposition alleged that women groups are being cheated by these companies and women are being tortured at midnight in the name of loan recovery. This cheating and exploitation is increasing especially in Naxal-affected areas, where villagers are being looted badly.
The opposition demanded a serious investigation from the government on this issue, alleging that the government is just doing a formality in this matter and is avoiding concrete action. The opposition demanded a discussion on this subject by bringing an adjournment motion in the assembly, so that the seriousness of this problem can be understood and an effective solution can be found. However, the chair rejected the adjournment motion of the opposition, due to which disappointment prevailed among the opposition parties.
Let us inform you that these days in Chhattisgarh, the methods of cheating and loan recovery from women have created a stir in the entire state. The opposition has tried to put pressure on the state government, so that prompt action can be taken on this serious issue and the victims can get justice ,but all in vain.
