Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Sai noted that Veer Savarkar was not merely a fighter in the freedom struggle, but also a powerful symbol of national consciousness, courage, and social awakening. He dedicated his entire life to struggle and penance for the sake of his motherland’s freedom and national self-respect. Despite facing arduous circumstances and enduring torture, his resolve—steeped in patriotism—never wavered, he added.

The Chief Minister remarked that Veer Savarkar also raised a strong voice against social evils such as untouchability and discrimination prevalent in society, and made continuous efforts to strengthen social harmony and national unity. His writings, thoughts, and deeds continue to inspire the citizens of the country today towards national interest, self-pride, and social harmony.

The Chief Minister further added that, through his ideas, Veer Savarkar continues to inspire our younger generation today to contribute to nation-building. We must continue to strive relentlessly towards building a strong, prosperous, and self-reliant India by following the noble path he laid out.

Finance Minister O.P. Choudhary and the Chairman of the Chhattisgarh Tourism Board, Nilu Sharma, were also present on this occasion.
