Raipur : Under the Chhattisgarh Rajat Mahotsav , the 25th meeting of the State Level Geological Program Board is being organised by the Mineral Resources Department on August 21 in the capital Raipur. This meeting will be chaired by the Secretary of the Mineral Resources Department P. Dayanand.
The meeting will be organised in the Convention Hall of Naveen Vishram Bhawan, Civil Line Raipur from 10:30 am. On this occasion, representatives of various departments of the State Government and Central Government, technical institutions and private institutions will participate.
Officials of the Mineral Resources Department said that the main objective of the meeting is to provide new direction to the mineral policies by establishing coordination, so that continuous and systematic exploration of minerals can be done.
This will promote coordination and research with government institutions with the participation of private institutions. Apart from this, in this meeting, the work done for the exploration of minerals in the state during the year 2024-25 will be discussed and the program related to the exploration of minerals in the year 2025-26 will be finalized, so that along with the increase in revenue, identification of new resources can be ensured.
In the meeting, a total of 11 exploration projects proposed by the Directorate of Geology and Mining in the year 2025-26 and 29 exploration projects of the Geological Survey of India will be discussed.
These projects mainly include exploration work of minerals like lithium, gold, glauconite, lepidolite, strategic and critical minerals, phosphorite, fluorite, bauxite, limestone and iron ore. The progress of these projects and the effective implementation of future plans will also be discussed in the meeting.
