Chhattisgarh to Train 10,000 Youths Every Year in Advanced Technologies, Major Transformation Planned in ITI Colleges

Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai Visits Gujarat’s NAMTECH Institute

Raipur: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Monday November 10, 2025 visited NAMTECH in Gandhinagar, Gujarat — a pioneering institution renowned for its modern and innovative approach to teaching manufacturing, engineering, and technology.

During the visit, Chief Minister Sai remarked that Gujarat, the sacred land of Mahatma Gandhi and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has set an inspiring example for the entire nation in the realms of development, self-reliance, and innovation. He said that similar institutions should be established in Chhattisgarh to provide young people access to modern technology and industrial training.

The Chief Minister emphasised that his government is working rapidly to connect the state’s youth with self-employment, technical knowledge, and industry-oriented opportunities.

Chief Minister Sai toured the institute’s advanced laboratories, modern classrooms, and technical facilities, observing the institution’s unique teaching methodology. He interacted with students to understand how they are gaining practical, hands-on experience through projects and machine-based learning. He also discussed their academic experiences and future goals.

Highlighting Chhattisgarh’s upcoming reforms, the Chief Minister announced plans to modernise the state’s ITI (Industrial Training Institute) colleges. These upgrades will enable students to learn cutting-edge skills in smart manufacturing, robotics, and automation. “In the coming years,” he said, “our colleges will be equipped with advanced machinery and digital training facilities so that students not only study but also acquire real-world, work-ready skills.”

NAMTECH administrators briefed the Chief Minister on Gujarat’s successful education model that connects multiple institutions through an integrated network, enhancing both quality and reach of technical learning. Under this system, students graduate with the expertise to directly contribute to industrial workplaces.

The management expressed willingness to collaborate with Chhattisgarh in implementing a similar framework, proposing an interlinked network of ITIs where specialised institutions would serve as centers of excellence, transferring knowledge and training to others.

Once implemented, this model is expected to train over 10,000 youths annually in emerging technologies and modern industrial practices. Students will gain experiential learning, mastering automation systems, modern machinery, and advanced engineering methods — significantly improving their employability and preparing them for large-scale industrial projects across the country.

Chief Minister Sai underscored that Chhattisgarh’s contribution will be vital in realising the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047 (Developed India 2047). “Our youth are the greatest strength of Chhattisgarh,” he said.

“We are preparing a generation that combines innovative thinking with modern technology — young minds who will lead both a developed Chhattisgarh and a developed India.”

Accompanying the Chief Minister during the visit were Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Subodh Singh, Secretary to the Chief Minister Rahul Bhagat, Secretary of Higher Education and Skill Development S. Bharathidasan, and other senior officials.
