Raipur: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Tuesday July 1, 2025 held a high level review meeting regarding the availability of fertilizers and seeds in view of the upcoming Kharif season at Mantralaya Mahanadi Bhawan. Chief Minister Sai, while directing the officials, said that continuous supply of fertilizers should be ensured to the farmers in the state.
The Chief Minister especially talked about encouraging the use of NPK fertilizer in place of DAP and asked to make the farmers aware of its benefits. CM Sai directed to monitor and continuously review the availability and distribution of fertilizers in district-wise cooperative societies through collectors.
Chief Minister Sai said that this time of farming is very important for the farmers. If there is any kind of hindrance in the supply of fertilizers and seeds at this time, it will have a direct impact on the sowing and production of crops. He directed the officials to ensure that farmers get adequate quantity of fertilizers on time and at a reasonable rate.
CM Vishnu Deo Sai said that arrangements for NPK fertilizers are also being made in the committees, immediate steps should be taken to make it available to the farmers. Expressing deep concern over the sale of substandard and fake fertilizers, he directed that strict action should be taken immediately in such cases.
Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Subodh Kumar Singh, Secretary to the Chief Minister Rahul Bhagat, Agriculture Production Commissioner Shehla Nigar, Director Agriculture Rahul Dev and officers and employees of Markfed were present in the meeting.
