Raipur: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai reached Godariwala Dham in Devpuri, Raipur, late Sunday September 28, 2025 night, where he paid homage to the saint tradition by participating in the 34th death anniversary rituals of Sant Shiromani Baba Hardas Ram Sahib Ji.

Chief Minister Sai bowed before the statue of Sant Gela Ram Sahib Ji installed at Shri Godariwala Dham and prayed for the happiness, prosperity, and well-being of the people of the state.

Addressing the program, Chief Minister Sai said, “It is my great fortune to have the opportunity to participate in the death anniversary rituals of Sant Shiromani Baba Hardas Ram Sahib Ji. Here, I am having the benefit of seeing revered saints from across the country. I wish that the blessings of the saints remain upon Chhattisgarh forever and that happiness and prosperity prevails in every home.”

The Chief Minister warmly welcomed and felicitated the saints and sages from across the country who had come to the sacred land of Chhattisgarh for the Barsi Mahotsav. He said that the entire life of Shri Godriwala Sant Baba Hardas Ram Ji has been a source of inspiration for service to humanity, sacrifice, and dedication. Chhattisgarh has been blessed by his presence.

He also mentioned that the free eye check-ups, health camps, and blood donation camps held periodically at the Dham premises are living examples of the teachings and ideals of Sant Baba Hardas Ram Ji. The Chief Minister said that this Barsi Mahotsav is not merely a religious event, but a celebration of devotion, unity, and social service.

Addressing the Sant Samaj, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai said that Chhattisgarh is the maternal home of Mother Kaushalya and the maternal home of Lord Shri Ram. He said that Kuleshwar Mahadev, established by Lord Shri Ram and Mother Sita in Rajim, still exists today. Lord Shri Ram spent approximately 10 years of his 14-year exile on the sacred land of Chhattisgarh. The people of the state still consider Lord Shri Ram as their nephew.

The Chief Minister said that the state government is running the ‘Shri Ram Lalla Darshan Yojana’ to enable devotees to have darshan of Lord Shri Ram. Under this scheme, last year more than 22 thousand devotees reached Ayodhya Dham and had darshan of Shri Ram Lalla.

Along with the Chief Minister, MLA Motilal Sahu, MLA Purandar Mishra, Chairman of Chhattisgarh State Food and Civil Supplies Corporation Sanjay Srivastava, Chairman of Raipur Development Authority Nand Kumar Sahu, Chairman of Chhattisgarh Chamber of Commerce Anil Thaurani, Lalit Jaisingh, Shrichand Sundarani along with many public representatives and a large number of people from the society were present at the death anniversary Mahotsav.
