Kisan Mela cum Organic Fair was inaugurated, recipients were benefited from various government schemes
Raipur: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai virtually inaugurated the Chhattisgarh Rajat Mahotsav program m organised at Tilsiwan in Surajpur district and inaugurated and performed Bhoomi Pujan of development works worth more than 211 crores. On this occasion, he unveiled the life-size statue of Bharat Ratna late Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee at the Atal Complex located at the new bus stand of Surajpur and virtually inaugurated the Kisan Mela cum Organic Fair.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Sai said that on the occasion of completion of 25 years of establishment of Chhattisgarh state, we are all celebrating the Silver Jubilee Year. This occasion is a symbol of the glorious journey of Chhattisgarh.

In the last 25 years, the state has touched many dimensions of development and now we have to move forward with new resolutions.
He called upon all the citizens to unite and take the state to new heights of progress.
Remembering late Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Chief Minister Sai said that I salute Atal ji, the creator of Chhattisgarh state. He gave a new identity to the people here by creating Chhattisgarh state. He will always be a source of inspiration for the youth of the country and the state. The Chief Minister also recalled Vajpayee ji’s political life, poetic talent and the work done in national interest.
Referring to the achievements of the state government, Chief Minister Sai said that in the last 20 months, many public welfare measures have been taken under Modi’s guarantee. These include purchase of paddy at the rate of Rs 3100 per quintal, assistance of Rs 1000 per month to 70 lakh women under the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, distribution of Charan Paduka again to tendu leaf collectors, paddy bonus to farmers, financial assistance of Rs 10,000 to 5 lakh 62 thousand landless agricultural laborers, Ramlala Darshan Yojana for devotees, travel to 19 pilgrimage sites for the elderly and establishment of Atal Digital Seva Kendras.

Speaking on Naxal eradication, Chief Minister Sai said that under the guidance of the Home Minister of the country, Amit Shah, efforts are going on at a fast pace to end Naxalism from the state and the target is to completely eliminate Naxalism from Bastar by March 2026. He informed that the notorious Naxalite Basavaraju has been eliminated and a large number of security camps have been set up.
In the program, Deputy Chief Minister Arun Saw, while addressing the gathering through virtual medium, said that the state has achieved new heights of development in 25 years of its establishment. He congratulated and wished all the people present on the unveiling of the statue of Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
He said that the creation of Chhattisgarh state is the gift of former Prime Minister Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee. It was he who started the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, which connected every village to the main road and paved the way for development in rural areas.
The Deputy Chief Minister said that the Chhattisgarh government is continuously committed to the expansion of public welfare and basic facilities. The works done in the field of roads, bridges, drinking water supply and urban development have not only increased connectivity in rural areas, but the infrastructure has also expanded rapidly in urban bodies.
Chief Minister Shri Sai gave the gift of development works worth Rs 211 crore 33 lakh to Surajpur district. In this, 37 works completed at a cost of Rs 78 crore 78 lakh were inaugurated, which include 04 works of Public Works Department, 03 of Public Works Department (Bridge), 20 of Panchayat and Rural Development Department, 04 of Urban Bodies Department, 03 of Tribal Development Department and 03 of Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana. Along with this, Bhoomi Pujan was done for 55 works to be done at a cost of Rs 132 crore 55 lakh, which include 14 of Public Works Department, 04 of Public Works Department (Bridge), 22 of Panchayat and Rural Development Department, 07 of Water Resources Department Surajpur, 04 of Rural Mechanical Services, 01 of Police Department and 03 of Tribal Development Department.
In the function, Chief Minister Sai also inaugurated the Kisan Mela cum Organic Mela cum Exhibition cum Training.
In the organised fair, exhibition of various departments along with the latest varieties of agricultural equipment, organic fertilizers, pesticides and seeds were organised. Farmers were informed on topics like crop cycle change, crop diversification, organic and natural farming and water conservation.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister said that the state government is constantly striving to provide skill training and employment to the youth. Describing such employment-related events as important in building the future of the youth, he wished all the beneficiaries a bright future.
On this occasion, recipients were benefited from the schemes of various departments. Ice box and boat-net from Fisheries Department, motorised tricycle from Social Welfare Department, Vayavandan, Ayushman and Sickle Cell Card from Health Department, house key and cheque under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, LIC bond from Women and Child Development Department, loan cheque to women groups and loan for goat rearing, irrigation pump, Ramtil seeds and tubewell-pump grant from Agriculture Department were provided.
Along with this, employment approval orders were also distributed to 25 beneficiaries of SECL Bhatgaon area.
Textbook Corporation Chairman Raja Pandey, District Panchayat Chairman Chandramani Paikra, Rekha Rajwade, Lavekesh Paikra, Red Cross Society Chairman of Surajpur district Babulal Agarwal and other public representatives were present in the program.
