Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai inaugurats the two-day grand convention of the Chhattisgarh Kumbhar Samaj

Raipur: The two-day state-level grand convention of the Chhattisgarh Kumbhar Samaj was inaugurated with great pomp on Wednesday January 28, 2026 in Navagaon, Abhanpur.

Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai inaugurated the event by lighting a lamp. The event witnessed a live demonstration of the traditional art, culture, and social unity of the Kumbhar Samaj. CM Sai also announced ₹30 lakh for the construction of a fully equipped community hall for the community’s development.

At the inauguration of the event, Chief Minister Sai was presented with a potter’s wheel, a symbol of the art and culture of the Kumbhar Samaj, which is the hallmark of the potter’s art and symbolises hard work and dedication.

Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai congratulated the Chhattisgarh Kumbhar Samaj for the successful organisation of its grand convention, youth-girl introduction conference, and talent award ceremony.

Chief Minister Sai began his address by paying tribute to the late Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Ajit Pawar, and prayed to God to give his family the strength to bear this loss.

Wishing the young men and women attending the introduction conference a bright future, Chief Minister Sai said that this conference provides a powerful platform for the sons and daughters of the society to choose suitable life partners.

The Chief Minister appealed to the community to ensure that every son and daughter in their community is educated. He said that education is not only a means to obtain employment, but is also essential for leading a successful, cultured, and responsible human life, CM added.

The Chief Minister said that Chhattisgarh is completing 25 years of its establishment this year, and in these 25 years, the state has made remarkable progress in every field, including roads, electricity, water, food grains, education, and health.

He stated that through the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, every village has been connected with asphalt roads. The number of colleges in the state has increased, and medical and engineering colleges are now widely available, providing youth with opportunities for higher education within their own state. the CM said .

Chief Minister Sai stated that the current government has fulfilled most of the promises guaranteed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in just two years. He stated that paddy procurement in the state is being carried out expeditiously and with complete transparency, and that farmers’ bonuses are being transferred to their accounts in one lump sum, not in four installments.

The Mahatari Vandan Yojana, aimed at empowering women, is providing direct financial benefits to mothers and sisters, CM Sai affirmed.

The Chief Minister stated that under the Ram Lalla Darshan Yojana, over 40,000 Ram devotees have visited Ayodhya to pay obeisance. Referring to the ongoing anti-Naxal operations in the Bastar region, he stated that security forces have fought the Naxalite war with courage and determination over the past two years. Naxalism is now in its final stages, and the goal is to completely eradicate it from the country by March 31, 2026, CM noted .

He stated that a new journey of development has begun in Bastar, and the establishment of security camps has created an atmosphere of peace and trust in the region.

Chief Minister Sai praised the new industrial policy, stating that it is receiving positive responses both domestically and internationally. He stated that the state has received investment proposals worth approximately ₹8 lakh crore, and several industries have already been established in Naya Raipur, creating new employment opportunities.

The Chief Minister stated that the government’s priority is all-round development, social harmony, and the creation of a self-reliant Chhattisgarh, which requires the active participation of every section of society.

Approximately 300 young men and women were registered for the youth-girl introduction conference organised as part of the convention. Meetings related to the community’s internal activities were also held, discussing social organisation, education, employment, art preservation, and future plans, the CM said .

In the program, the youth of the society, Ankita Prajapati and Durgesh Chakradhari, presented their paintings to Chief Minister Sai. MLA Indrakumar Sahu, State President of Chhattisgarh Kumbhar Samaj Nandkumar Chakradhari, Vice President Atmaram Prajapati, General Secretary Hemlal Kaushik,. Suraj Kumbhar along with senior officials of the society and a large number of people of the society were present in the program.
