Raipur. Collector Raigarh Kartikeya Goyal and Superintendent of Police Divyang Patel paid a courtesy sisit to Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai at his residence in the capital Raipur today on Sunday September 1 and invited him to attend the 39th Chakradhar Samaroh.
The Chief Minister accepted the invitation and wished them for the successful organization of the ceremony.
The Chief Minister said that Chakradhar Samaroh is the identity of Raigarh. International and nationally renowned artists have enhanced its glory by performing in the Samaroh. He said that I have been an MP from Raigarh and have seen this event closely. Shri Sai said that I also have an emotional attachment to the Samaroh. Maharaja Chakradhar has handed over an invaluable cultural heritage to Raigarh, which is continuously prospering. The popularity of the Samaroh can be gauged from the fact that artists and art lovers wait for this Samaroh throughout the year. Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai also asked to prominently include local folk artists in the Samaroh.
Collector Karthikeya Goyal shared important information related to the event with the Chief Minister. He informed that this year too, big artists will perform in the 10-day long festival. Along with this, local folk artists will also showcase their art in the festival.
It is worth mentioning that the 39th Chakradhar Samaroh will be organised from 07 to 16 September 2024 at Ramlila Maidan located at Raigarh district headquarters. In the opening ceremony, Padmashree Hema Malini will present the dance drama ‘Radha Rasbihari’ and in the closing ceremony, Dr. Kumar Vishwas will recite poetry. During the ceremony, in the cultural evening organised every day from 6 pm, renowned artists will give performances in various genres.
