Raipur: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai paid homage to Bharat Ratna Babasaheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar on the occasion of his death anniversary observed on December 6th. The Chief Minister said that Babasaheb was a national hero endowed with multi-dimensional talent, extraordinary intellect, and unwavering determination. He gave new direction to India’s democratic framework.
The Chief Minister said that Babasaheb was not only the principal architect of the Indian Constitution but also a strong advocate of social justice, equality, human rights, and democratic values. Throughout his life, he tirelessly worked for the upliftment of the weaker sections of society, eradication of untouchability and discrimination, expansion of education, and socio-economic empowerment.
The Chief Minister added that Babasaheb’s ideas, thoughts, and farsightedness continue to inspire the nation-building process like a guiding light. He urged the people of the state to imbibe Babasaheb’s ideals and the core values of the Constitution, and to actively contribute towards building a sensitive, egalitarian, progressive, and justice-oriented society.
