    Raipur : Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Monday June 9, 2025 reached the residence of martyr ASP Akash Rao Girpunje in the capital Raipur and paid tribute to him by offering a wreath on his mortal remains in the IED blast carried out by Naxalites in Konta of Sukma district.

    Chief Minister Sai met the bereaved family members of martyr ASP Akash Rao Girpunje and expressed condolences and consoled them. He said that martyr ASP Akash Rao Girpunje has made the supreme sacrifice by showing indomitable courage, loyalty and dedication towards his duty. We are proud of him. The government stands with his family in this hour of grief. Forest Minister Kedar Kashyap and Additional Chief Secretary of Home Department Manoj Pingua, Director General of Police Arun Dev Gautam, Additional Director General of Police Naxal Operation Vivekanand Sinha, who accompanied the Chief Minister, also paid tribute to martyr Girpunje.

    Chief Minister Vishnu deo Sai postponed his proposed visit to Rajnandgaon in view of the Naxal incident in Konta of Sukma and inquired about the incident in a high level meeting of senior officials of the Home Department in his office room in Mantralaya Mahanadi Bhawan. Chief Minister Sai inquired from the officials about the IED blast carried out by Naxalites in Konta of Sukma district and reviewed the Naxal operations. He directed to ensure all necessary arrangements to provide proper treatment to the injured soldiers immediately.

    Additional Chief Secretary of Home Department Manoj Pingua, Director General of Police Arun Dev Gautam, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Subodh Kumar Singh, Additional Director General of Police Naxal Operation Vivekanand Sinha, Secretary to Chief Minister Rahul Bhagat were present in the meeting.

    Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai also met the soldiers injured in the IED blast carried out by Naxalites in Konta of Sukma district at Ramkrishna Care Hospital in the capital Raipur and enquired about the well-being of the injured soldiers and wished for their speedy recovery. He directed the doctors to provide better treatment to the injured soldiers.
