Elucidating new definitions of good governance Chintan Shivir 2.0: A Path to good governance through technology and innovation

Raipur: With the aim of making the functioning of the Chhattisgarh government more effective and public-friendly, Chintan Shivir 2.0 was organised at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Raipur. In the concluding camp on Monday June 9 , 2025 , there was an in-depth discussion on innovations in reaching the schemes of the Central and State Government in favour of public and modern techniques of good governance.

Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai and his cabinet colleagues shared views on various aspects of good governance with subject experts. On the last day of the Chintan Shivir, Sanjeev Sanyal, Member of the Economic Advisory Council to the Prime Minister, while giving a lecture on the topic “Art of Good Governance”, highlighted important topics like simplifying administrative processes, increasing the capabilities of the state, removing unnecessary rules and restructuring government agencies. He explained how governments can make the quality of their policy-making and implementation more effective.

Digital Health Expert Dr. Rajendra Prasad Gupta told about digital health technologies and good governance that digital health technologies are capable of providing quality services even in remote and backward areas. He suggested measures to increase transparency and accountability of health services through technologies like e-health records, telemedicine, mobile health apps and artificial intelligence. He said that digital health technology not only strengthens health services but also increases the trust of the general public towards governance.

Political analyst and writer Uday Mahurkar discussed in detail the historical perspective of Indian democracy, quality of political conduct, administrative accountability and public-friendly implementation of policies on the topic “Good Governance to Election”. He told that strong and transparent governance system increases public confidence in democracy and also influences the electoral process. He also highlighted the measures to strengthen good governance at the local level, bring transparency in elections and establish ethical values ​​in administration.

Chief Minister’s Secretary Rahul Bhagat and Director of Indian Institute of Management Shri Ram Kakani were also present on this occasion.
