Raipur: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai reached Raipur airport today after Delhi tour, where he informed the media about his visit to Delhi and his participation in the Chhattisgarh State Day function organised at Pragati Maidan in Delhi, his meeting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Union Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu. He also informed that I have invited Home Minister Amit Shah ji to attend the closing ceremony of Bastar Olympics and the Police award ceremony and he has agreed to come. He also congratulated the people of the state on getting direct flights from Raipur to Singapore and Dubai and international status.
The CM said that he informed Amit Shah about the development work going on in Naxal-affected areas. Along with this, efforts made for establishing peace were also discussed. This meeting took place at 3:30 pm in North Block. During this, the progress of projects related to roads, education, health and employment in Naxal-affected areas was informed. There was also a discussion on better coordination between the security forces and the help received from the Center.
CM further informed that on Wednesday on November 20 . 2024 he met Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu and discussed strengthening air connectivity in the state and development of regional airports. During this, he requested the Union Minister to give international status to Swami Vivekananda Airport, Raipur and stressed that this step will boost the economic development of Chhattisgarh and promote air connectivity. Sai also discussed the need for direct flights between Raipur and Singapore and Raipur and Dubai. On which Union Civil Aviation Minister Kinjarpu Ram Mohan Naidu accepted the demand raised by Chief Minister Sai. Soon there will be a meeting of officials, after which flight services will also start from Chhattisgarh to neighboring states Jharkhand and Bihar.
