Chief Minister inaugurates and lays foundation stones for major works in Samoda; announces ₹4-crore stop dam in Rewa and honours meritorious students
Raipur: Reaffirming his government’s commitment to good governance and inclusive development, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Thursday July 9, 2026 inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for development projects worth over ₹128 crore in the Arang Assembly constituency during a public programme at Samoda Nagar Panchayat in Raipur district.
The Chief Minister also announced several new initiatives aimed at accelerating infrastructure and educational development in the region. These include the construction of a ₹4-crore stop dam in Rewa village, a boundary wall for the Government Higher Secondary School in Samoda, construction of the first floor of the Samoda Nagar Panchayat building, and the upgradation of the Government High School at Tulsi into a Higher Secondary School.
Addressing the gathering, Sai said good governance, development and public welfare remain the defining pillars of his government’s administration. He asserted that most of the commitments made under “Modi Ki Guarantee” have been fulfilled during the last two-and-a-half years.

Highlighting the government’s welfare initiatives, the Chief Minister said over 18 lakh houses have been sanctioned under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, with more than 10 lakh homes already completed. He also noted that paddy is being procured from farmers at ₹3,100 per quintal, while over ₹18,000 crore has been transferred directly to women beneficiaries through 28 instalments under the Mahtari Vandan Yojana.
Sai said the government is committed to ensuring that the benefits of development reach the last person in society. He added that infrastructure such as roads, electricity, drinking water and healthcare facilities are being expanded rapidly across Bastar and other remote regions of the state.
The Chief Minister further highlighted governance reforms, including the Seva Setu platform, which now offers more than 520 government services, and the Chief Minister Helpline 1076, which is ensuring time-bound grievance redressal.
During the programme, Sai also planted an Amla sapling under the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam 2.0” campaign, distributed bicycles to Class IX girls under the Saraswati Cycle Yojana, and felicitated meritorious students under the district administration’s Mission Utkarsh initiative.
Skill Development and Technical Education Minister Guru Khushwant Saheb said that development works worth over ₹858 crore have been sanctioned for the Arang Assembly constituency under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai.
