Congress’s blood runs in my veins…’, Kumari Selja’s first reaction came amidst reports of displeasure with Congress and joining BJP

Haryana : Kumari Selja: Amid reports of differences with Congress and joining BJP in the Haryana Assembly elections, Kumari Selja’s first reaction has come. Completely rejecting the possibility of joining BJP, the Congress leader said that my father had gone wrapped in the Congress flag. Similarly, Selja will also go wrapped in the Congress flag. Congress blood is flowing in my veins. Selja has said that not giving me a ticket is the party’s decision, there is no resentment against Congress.

Speaking to news channel Aaj Tak, Selja said that the comments being made by BJP leaders should not be advice. Our political career is longer than theirs. BJP people are spreading the misconception that Selja will leave Congress. Kumari Selja can never leave the party, Kumari Selja has Congress blood in her veins. Kumari Selja’s father also went wrapped in the Congress flag, I will also go wrapped in the same flag.

The senior Congress leader said, “For Kumari Selja, this is not her fight, it is the fight of the weaker sections. Our fight is the fight of 36 communities. In politics, the struggle is for one’s own people, colleagues and ideas. On the resentment, she said that some internal matters happen. There is no resentment against the Congress. On staying away from campaigning in the assembly elections, Kumari Selja said that she will now go out for the campaign.

She further said, ‘Shailaja never gets disappointed or disheartened. I have seen many milestones. BJP has no other issue. The reality is known to the Congress leadership, Congress workers and I know it. BJP should look after its own house, BJP’s decline has started at the national level..’

Kumari Selja met Mallikarjun Kharge

This statement of Kumari Selja has come at a time when on Sunday September 22, Kumari Selja met Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge. In the meeting, all the complaints of Selja were heard and assurance was given to resolve them. Sources said that the dispute related to Kumari Selja will be resolved soon. BJP is trying to unnecessarily escalate the issue.

Let us inform you that Haryana assembly elections will be held on October 5. Whereas, the counting of votes will be held on October 8. Earlier this date was October 1 and 4 but the Election Commission has changed it. Giving the reason behind this, the commission clarified that this decision has been taken to respect both the voting rights and traditions of the Bishnoi community. The Bishnoi community has maintained the centuries-old tradition of participating in the Asoj Amavasya festival. They celebrate the festival in the memory of their guru Jambeshwar on that day.
