Raipur : The Cabinet meeting held on Friday October 10, 2025 at the Mahanadi Bhawan, Mantralaya, under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, The Council of Ministers took an important decision regarding the purchase of paddy from farmers in the state at the support price for the Kharif marketing year 2025-26.

Paddy procurement from over 2.5 million farmers in the state will begin on November 15th at a rate of ₹3,100 per quintal.
A robust administrative structure for paddy procurement and a strict system to prevent diversion and recycling of paddy will be established.
Farmers will be paid timely (within 6 to 7 days) with greater transparency.
Online tokenization will be available through the Token Tunhar Hath mobile app. Farmers will be relieved of long queues at societies.
The state government has decided to procure paddy from farmers in Chhattisgarh during the Kharif marketing year 2025-26, from November 15, 2025, to January 31, 2026.
During this period, paddy will be procured from 2.5 million farmers at a rate of ₹3,100 per quintal, up to a limit of 21 quintals per acre.
To promote transparency in paddy procurement, farmer registration on the AgriStake portal of the Ministry of Agriculture, Government of India, through e-KYC, has been made mandatory this year, ensuring farmer identification and preventing duplication. Registration can be done until October 31, 2025.
23 lakh hectares of land have been surveyed through digital crop survey, resulting in online digital assessment of paddy acreage.
Data from digital crop survey and manual Girdawari is being shared in Gram Sabhas in 20,000 villages across the state since October 2nd.
To ensure better arrangements for farmers, online tokenization has been implemented through the Token Tuhar Hath mobile app. Under this, farmers will be able to issue tokens for selling paddy on days convenient to them.
Biometric-based paddy procurement will be implemented to ensure paddy procurement from genuine farmers.
Instructions have been given to the committees to make appropriate arrangements for paddy procurement through 2739 procurement centers.
Committees will be given an incentive of Rs. 5 per quintal for zero dryness in the 2025-26 procurement marketing year.
Instructions have been given to arrange for new and old jute bags as per requirement for paddy procurement.
The Food Department of the Government of India has set a target of 73 lakh metric tonnes of rice in the central pool for the 2025-26 Kharif season.
To prevent paddy recycling in the state and ensure better monitoring, it has been decided to establish an Integrated Command and Control Center at the Markfed office for the first time. Control rooms will also be set up in the districts.
To ensure better and smoother arrangements at paddy procurement centers, the Collector has decided to appoint administrative officers as procurement center in-charges.
Instructions have been given to form special checking teams at the district level to prevent the inflow of paddy from border states to procurement centers.
To ensure economy in the paddy transportation system, instructions have been given to physically verify the lifting and transportation of paddy.
