Demand for space for Manmohan Singh’s funeral and memorial, Kharge spoke to the central government

New Delhi : In the meeting of the Congress Working Committee, the Congress leaders discussed that the late former PM Dr. Manmohan Singh should be given a proper place for the last rites and memorial according to his stature. The family is in talks with the government regarding this.

A meeting of the Congress Working Committee was held on Friday December 27, 2024 at the Congress headquarters in Delhi in the presence of party president Mallikarjun Kharge, CPP President Sonia Gandhi, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha and MP Rahul Gandhi and other Congress leaders. This meeting was called to pay tribute to former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh.

In the meeting of the Congress Working Committee, the Congress leaders discussed that the late former PM Dr. Manmohan Singh should be given a proper place for the last rites and memorial according to his stature. The family is in talks with the government regarding this.

Congress General Secretary Avinash Pandey said that Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and Manmohan Singh’s family are in talks with the government for the place of last rites and memorial. Former Prime Minister of the country Dr. Manmohan Singh passed away on Thursday December 26, 2024 at the age of 92.
