Dhamtari’s Kurud Assembly Constituency Receives a Grand Gift of Development

Raipur: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo on Tuesday September 23, 2025 inaugurated and performed the Bhoomi Pujan for various development works worth ₹245.80 Crore in Kareli Bari village of Magarlod development block in Dhamtari district.

Chief Minister Sai inaugurated 51 Mahatari Sadans at the state-level Mahatari Sadan Inauguration Program held in the Kurud Assembly Constituency of Dhamtari district, giving the district a grand gift of development. He will lay the foundation stone and inaugurate 77 development works in the Kurud Assembly Constituency. These development works will provide a new direction to various sectors in the district, including women’s empowerment, education, health, agriculture, irrigation, roads, drinking water, industry, science, tourism, and social development.

Women’s Empowerment – Foundation Stone Laying for New Buildings

CM Vishnu Deo Sai inaugurated 51 Mahatari Sadan buildings under the Mahatari Sadan Scheme. Built at a cost of approximately ₹2.1 crore (210 million rupees), these buildings will become new centers of respect and self-reliance for women. These Mahatari Sadans will give a new identity to the strength and potential of Chhattisgarh’s mothers and sisters in society.

Industrial Development

Infrastructure will be developed for industrial areas in villages Kareli Badi and Bhalujhulan at a cost of ₹16.61 crore (166.1 million rupees).

The Chief Minister also performed the Bhoomi Pujan for this . He also inaugurated various infrastructure projects constructed at a cost of ₹6 crore (60 million rupees) in the G-Jamgaon Industrial Area. These projects will open up new opportunities for industry and employment.

Education and Skill Development

Chief Minister Sai also laid the foundation stone for an ITI building, a Government Polytechnic College, and a Livelihood College building, costing ₹27.67 crore for education and skill development. CM Sai also inaugurated the Agricultural College building and hostel, constructed at a cost of ₹7.53 crore . These institutions will become major centers of higher education and skill development for youth.

Roads and Infrastructure

The Chief Minister also laid the foundation stone for the construction and improvement of nine roads in Dhamtari district. These roads will cost ₹119.79 crore . He also inaugurated the Gatapar and Bakli roads, constructed under the Gaurav Path Yojana at a cost of ₹1.7 crore . All these new roads will provide better connectivity to villages.

Health Facilities

Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai also inaugurated the Primary Health Center building, constructed at a cost of ₹75 lakh (75 lakh rupees) in Bhendri, Magarlod development block. This will make health services more accessible to rural areas.

Drinking Water and Irrigation

CM Sai inaugurated 39 works worth approximately ₹30 crore under the Jal Jeevan Mission in Dhamtari district. This will ensure that every settlement in the district is certified as “Har Ghar Jal.” He inaugurated a micro-irrigation scheme in Kodebod, constructed at a cost of ₹26.37 crore .

CM Sai also performed the Bhoomi Pujan of the construction of a cross-regulator on the Mahanadi Canal at a cost of ₹4.29 crore . This will provide improved irrigation facilities to farmers and pure drinking water to villagers.

Science and Tourism

The Chief Minister laid the foundation stone for a Science Park in Gangrel. The construction of this Science Park will not only foster a scientific outlook among children and youth, but will also promote new tourism opportunities.

Social Development

At today’s event, Chief Minister Sai also laid the foundation stone for the Kanwar Samaj Bhawan (Madhuban Dham, Rakandih), to be constructed at a cost of ₹50 lakh . This building will inject new energy into community development in the district.

These developments will not only strengthen the infrastructure in the Kurud area of ​​Dhamtari district, but will also create new opportunities in the social, educational, industrial, and agricultural sectors. Under the leadership of the Chief Minister, this historic day will prove to be a milestone towards the progress of the district and public welfare.
