DMF scam: Former IAS Ranu Sahu and Meera Warrier did not get relief from Special Court, judicial remand extended for 14 days

Raipur: Former IAS officers Ranu Sahu and Meera Warrier, arrested in the DMF scam case in the state, were produced in a special court by the ED today on Tuesday October 22 ,2024 . The court heard the case after the 5-day custodial remand of both the accused ended, after which they were sent to jail on 14-day judicial remand. Now Ranu Sahu and Maya Warrier will remain in jail till November 5.

Let us inform you that Ranu Sahu was the collector in Korba from June 2021 to June 2022. After this, she was also the collector of Raigarh till February 2023. During this time Maya Warrior was also posted in Korba. Due to having close relations with Collector Ranu Sahu, ED raided Maya Warrior’s office and house regarding the coal scam. A large amount of DMF was provided to the Tribal Development Department, in which there is an allegation of scam. After getting proof of this, ED has also arrested Maya Warrior.
