Due to huge uproar in the house during LG’s speech, all opposition MLAs including Atishi are suspended for the whole day

Delhi: Tuesday February 25,2025’s proceedings of the Delhi Assembly began with uproar. Aam Aadmi Party MLAs started creating a ruckus in the middle of the Lieutenant Governor’s address. The speaker expelled 12 AAP MLAs, including opposition leader Atishi, from the assembly and suspended them for the whole day.

In his address, the LG said that the government will work on five major things including Yamuna, pollution, corruption-free governance, regularization of unauthorized colonies. During the address of the Lieutenant Governor, BJP MLAs were seen raising slogans of ‘Modi-Modi’

Meanwhile, the AAP MLAs who were thrown out of the House were seen protesting outside the assembly with a photo of Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar in their hands. Speaking to the media, Atishi said that the BJP has removed the photo of Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar from the CM office and the offices of ministers and has put up the photo of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

She said, ‘I want to ask the Bharatiya Janata Party whether Prime Minister Modi has become bigger than Baba Saheb? Aam Aadmi Party protested against this and we will continue to protest from the House to the road until Baba Saheb’s picture is put in his place.’
