In the case of the gang rape of an IT company manager in Udaipur, police have arrested three accused, including the CEO. When the victim regained consciousness, she found her earrings, socks, and underwear missing, which made her realize what had happened. Police are investigating based on dashcam recordings, medical reports, and statements. The accused have been presented in court.
When she regained partial consciousness in the morning, the first thing she noticed was her clothes. She saw that one of her earrings was missing, and her socks and underwear were also gone. There were injury marks on her private parts. This is the statement of an IT company manager from Udaipur. Based on her complaint, the company’s CEO, a female executive head, and her husband have been arrested on charges of gang rape in a moving car.
This is the whole story:
On December 20, the company CEO’s birthday and New Year’s party was held at a hotel in Shobhagpura. The victim arrived at the party around 9 PM. The event continued late into the night and ended around 1:30 AM. During this time, the victim started feeling unwell and wanted to go home. Some people were preparing to drop her home when a female executive head of the company suggested an “after-party.” The victim was then made to sit in a car. The female executive head’s husband and the company CEO were already in the car. The victim was told that she would be dropped home. On the way, the car stopped at a shop where smoking-related items were purchased. After that, the victim was made to smoke inside the car. Soon, her condition worsened, and she was no longer in a normal state. According to the victim, she does not clearly remember the events that followed.
When she regained consciousness, she realized she had been gang-raped.
When she regained partial consciousness, she felt that she was being molested. She protested and asked them to stop, but her pleas were ignored. It is alleged that the three people in the car raped her during this time. This incident reportedly took place between approximately 1:45 AM and 5:00 AM. In the morning, the victim was dropped off near her home. She somehow managed to reach home. After some time, when she fully regained consciousness, she felt injuries and pain on her body. That’s when she realized her earrings, socks, and underwear were missing.
Everything recorded on the dashcam
The victim then tried to understand what had happened. She remembered that the car she had been in all night had a dashcam. She checked the audio and video recordings from the car’s dashcam. The recordings contained conversations and voices that confirmed her suspicions. These recordings later became a crucial piece of evidence in the investigation.
Police expedite investigation
The victim filed a complaint with the Udaipur police. According to District Superintendent of Police Yogesh Goyal, the investigation was launched based on the victim’s statement, medical report, and technical evidence. The investigation was entrusted to ASP Madhuri Verma. The medical examination confirmed the injuries on her body, which prima facie indicated a gang rape.
Three accused arrested
The police took action and arrested Jayesh, the CEO of the IT company, co-accused Gaurav, and his wife. All three have been produced before the court, and further legal proceedings are underway. The police are also investigating whether any specific substance was used to intoxicate the victim. SP Yogesh Goyal stated that the audio recorded on the car’s dashcam is a crucial part of the investigation. The sequence of events is being pieced together based on this technical evidence. The police say that all aspects of the case are being investigated impartially.
Who are the accused?
The arrested accused include Jayesh Prakash Sisodia, a resident of Sky Marina Apartments, Sukhadia Circle; Gaurav Sirohi, currently residing at Hitwana Apartments, Sukher; and a female executive head of the company. According to the police, the investigation is ongoing, and more people will be questioned if needed.
